Lighting controls expert Helvar is set to display an exciting array of new products and features at LuxLive 2016, including ActiveAhead® 1.0, iDim Orbit and ILLUSTRIS®. With Helvar experts on hand to talk through the latest trends in lighting controls, visitors can be sure of an informative look at the future ways of working and living.

Paul Wilmshurst, Managing Director at Helvar Ltd comments, “This has been a big year for us with our new headquarters in Helsinki opening, bringing with it human centric solutions and new modern ways of working. We have also implemented our wireless, personalised lighting control into some great projects in 2016, including the Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners studio in London, Harmony of the Seas cruise ship and the Generator Group of boutique hostels. We are looking forward to showcasing these solutions at LuxLive, and demonstrating our lighting solutions of the future.”

ActiveAhead® 1.0 will be on display, which combines sensor technology with an algorithm that continuously learns about motion patters to provide appropriate lighting conditions in commercial buildings.

Also on Helvar’s stand this year will be ILLUSTRIS®, a touch-sensitive control panel. With a stylish sleek glass finish ILLUSTRIS® features an app that allows a smartphone or tablet to be used via Bluetooth connectivity to remotely control lighting.

The newly launched iDim Orbit delivers a simple, cost-effective and easy to install room-based lighting control solution, catering for a range of commercial and public building applications with a choice of PIR sensor configurations. Its built-in light sensor provides constant light and bright out modes for maximum energy efficiency. The internal iDim Orbit time-clock allows for profile scheduling and features mobile app connectivity for easy configuration using wireless technology.

In addition to the great solutions already mentioned, Helvar will be demonstrating Active+ an out-of-the-box standalone solution consisting of an LED driver and “our smallest sensor” yet, Active+ sense built into the luminaire.  By using 60-100 hours of automatic learning, on full lighting, Helvar’s new smart Active+ driver utilises the Active + sense which is connected directly to the luminaire.

freeDim provides a fresh, completely personalised and intelligent approach to lighting control. With freeDim, users can create their preferred lighting scene for a designated space which is then automatically saved and then wirelessly activated by their presence or by using the freeDim mobile app.

Select the Weather carefully simulates different scenes of the natural outdoor lighting environment by changing the colour temperature and intensity of the lighting according to personalised requirements.

Helvar will be showcasing its offering on stand H36 of LuxLive at London ExCeL 23-24 November. More than 8,000 people attended LuxLive last year, making it the UK’s biggest lighting event.
