Helvar is committed to protecting your privacy in conformance with the applicable privacy legislation. You can visit our site without giving any information about yourself. Sometimes we may, however, need certain information to provide services that you request. This Privacy Statement explains the principles of the data collection and the purposes of using the data under those situations and when using Helvar's mobile applications, and informs you on our use of cookies on our web site.


Collection of Personal Information

When we need information that personally identifies you or allows us to contact you we will ask it in specific on-line forms on our web site. You will be asked to complete an on-line form when you want to request specific services or information from us. Your information collected via the online form includes your name, address, e-mail address, company and telephone number. When using our mobile applications, we may also collect information which enables us to provide the service in question, such as photos you may take from your premises. We may also collect information generated from your use of our services. We do not collect any sensitive personal data. All information you decide to send us is to be send like e-mails. The connection of the on-line forms is not protected with any encryption program, so please do not send any sensitive information though the on-line forms.


Use of Cookies

We may use cookies in connection of our services and on our web site. Cookies can be used to maintain session state and help identify the user's personal preferences within the online service. Helvar does not use cookies to collect personally identifiable information. We use your personal information for the following purposes:

  • To allow you access to limited entry areas of our site as appropriate.
  • To alert you to product upgrades, updated information and other services from Helvar, if you so request, and to manage the customer relationship.

We will only retain your personal data for as long as it is necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this Privacy Statement or the purposes of which you have otherwise been informed. We may nevertheless retain certain personal data for the period needed for us to comply with our legal obligations or to resolve disputes.

As a data subject every person whose personal information we have collected has the rights set forth in the Finnish Personal Data Act.

In accordance with the Finnish Personal Data Act it is possible to rectify, erase or supplement any personal data contained in our personal data file, which is erroneous, unnecessary, incomplete or obsolete.
